Second Sight Publishing is delaying their initial launch of titles due to COVID-19 delays on international shipping.

The press release follows:

Media Release -- The global impact of COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on many industries. Comic book publishers, unfortunately, are not immune. The resurgence of the virus has caused disruptions in our supply chain. These disruptions have left our international partners unable to meet their contracted ship dates. This has a trickle down effect on Second Sight Publishing's (SSP) ability to meet our in store delivery dates for our initial slate of launch titles. As such, SSP Publisher Bradley Golden has chosen to push the company's official premiere date by six weeks. Cult of Dracula, Lady Freedom and The Book of Lyaxia will now have official in store dates of September 23, 2020.

"This decision was not reached lightly. Nor did it come easy.", said Golden. "Ultimately, we chose to act proactively in the best interests of our retail and distribution partners." Second Sight Publishing is committed to building true partnerships with the direct market by supporting retailers. Golden says this is best accomplished by open, consistent and transparent communication with those stores.

"If there is a silver lining to all of this, it's that the delay gives us more time to capitalize on the buzz building around our titles.", said Golden. He added that SSP had received increased interest in retailer exclusive variant covers of its books in recent weeks and that orders through the company's direct retail channel have been rising daily. Second Sight will continue to offer retailers up to a 60% discount on its launch titles through its website.

Retailers interested in exclusive variants should contact SSP directly at info@secondsightpublishing.com.
