Media Release -- Do you make comics? If so, submit your comics for the Ignatz Awards!
Awarded at Small Press Expo since 1997, the Ignatz Awards recognize achievement in comics and cartooning. Winners honored by both creators and fans — our jury consists of five cartoonists who create the ballot, which is then voted on by attendees of SPX.
Past winners include Gabrielle Bell, Craig Thompson, Sarah Glidden, Jim Rugg, Charles Burns and Minty Lewis, as well as many more. Even as a nominee, you’ll be in good company.
The basic rules are pretty simple: If your comic work was or will be released between July 1, 2010 and June 30, 2011, you’re eligible and we just need six copies. Now, if you need more than that, review the Ignatz Awards guidelines for full details and categories.
