This Sunday, May 14, is Mother's Day. If you're like me, you probably have a mom who's also into cool nerd stuff! Growing up, my mom collected Steiff teddy bears, Winnie the Pooh items, and first-edition books. Finding gifts for her has always been somewhat easy and fun! But sometimes finding the right nerdy gift can be difficult. If your mom liked to show off her fandom while also collecting new items, these gifts are perfect for mom!

Loungefly Star Wars Lightsaber Strap Crossbody Bag

Is the force strong with your mom? Does she need something to store all her rebellion gear in? This Loungegly crossbody is both subtle and perfect. We've talked about the collectibility of Loungefly bags in the past, and while this isn't a mini backpack, this is still a great Star Wars collector's piece.

The bag features imprints of Yoda and the symbol for the Jedi order, as well as a green light saber on the chain. The bag itself is made of polyurethane, a durable fabric -- perfect for fighting the First Order.

Wonder Woman Shoes

It's hard to argue that every mom is Wonder Woman in some way. They battle all kinds of everyday monsters and have no problem wrangling up rowdy kids either. These Wonder Woman shoes are eye-catching, durable, and can be dressed up or down. Shoes can also be incredibly collectible -- certain Air Force 1's can collect thousands of dollars in auctions.

While these might not be as collectible as those, they are still too sweet and would make for a wonderful addition to any collection or outfit.

Supergirl Barbie Doll

Based on the Sasha Calle Supergirl from the upcoming The Flash movie, this Supergirl Barbie is a true collector's piece. While this doll is only in pre-orders, she is averaging $75 on eBay. A previous Supergirl Barbie, released in 2008, typically sells for around $100 on eBay. Barbie dolls can be huge investments and collector's pieces and have a very dedicated fanbase.

Growing up my sister and I had a large Barbie collection, as did my mother when she was a child. This Barbie is a statement of how super and powerful moms (and everyone else) can be.

Marvel Eat The Universe Official Cookbook

There's nothing more fun than a themed cookbook. I collect these myself, and my mother has hundreds of out-of-print and rare cookbooks in her home. Disney's line of themed cookbooks invites amateur chefs of all levels to make and create dishes based on their favorite movies, shows, and characters.

This book, based on the Marvel Universe, features fun recipes such as Dazzler's Glittering Pizza Bagels, Hulk Smashed Potatoes, and more. This is the perfect cookbook for any mom who appreciates good visual puns.

Pikachu Squishmallow

This year might be the year to not get Mom a new stuffed bear, but rather, a Pikachu Squishmallow. By now most of us are aware of the hottest toy on the market, and how hard some of them are to find. The new Pokemon Squishmallow has been a hit with collectors of all ages. They're impossibly soft, squishy, and just plain cute.

Pikachu, the lovable Pokemon mascot, is the perfect Squishmallow, and the cutest gift you can give your mom this Mother's Day. Hopefully, this won't entice her to catch 'em all -- there are hundreds of Squishmallows out there!
