New AvengersMedia Release -- Hero Initiative, the non-profit organization that helps comic creators in medical and financial need, will be attending Charlotte North Carolina’s Heroescon June 3rd, 4th and 5th. The comics-first and family-friendly convention will be held at the Charlotte Convention Center located at?501 S. College St.?Charlotte, NC. Joining us is three time Eisner Award nominee and Captain America: Patriot creator Karl Kesel. Karl will be sketching for fans throughout the weekend to raise money for our worthy cause. Make sure you stop and get a sketch while helping Hero!

In addition, we will have newly released New Avengers 100 Project books for sale at the booth. Marvel Comics has generously donated 100 blank-covered cardstock copies of New Avengers #1 to Hero, various artists from all over the country donated original covers and we have put them all together in one wonderful compilation. Make sure come by and get this treasure and get it signed by contributing artists Dave Johnson, Craig Rousseau, Alex Saviuk, Andy Smith, Herb Trimpe and Roy Thomas all at one time! This signing will be Saturday at booth 322/421 from 1pm-2pm.
