For decades people young and old have been playing video games. From Atari to Playstation, there's certainly a video game for every collector! Now with graded games, collectors can take their collection to the next level. Each week, Heritage holds a Mini-Boss Select auction, featuring some fine examples of collectible video games.

These games can be graded or un-graded, or sometimes you'll find an unopened shipment box! If you're a video game collector, these weekly auctions should not be overlooked!

E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial

What else can be said about Atari's E.T.? This infamous game was one of the many key players in the video game crash of 1983, was a part of a mass burial of video games, and somehow has become one of the most well-known games of all time. Is it a good game? No, not at all. Should it still be celebrated overall? That's up for debate. But this game is still a unique collector's item.

This sealed WATA-graded 8.0 A+ is a great example of this game, and with a one-year average of $424 for similar 8.0 WATA-graded examples, you most likely won't break the bank to get your hands on a piece of gaming history.

Adventures in the Magic Kingdom

Long-time readers may remember my particular fondness for this Disney Parks-based video game. With all of the current drama surrounding the Disney company at the moment, this is a topical item! This game takes some of the more popular rides from the two American parks (Disneyland and Walt Disney World) and sends players on a magical adventure. This game recreated what we can assume to be Disney World (thanks to the cover art featuring Cinderella castle) well, but unfortunately, players aren't allowed to explore most of the park. It's a unique game and perfect for Disney fans.

This sealed WATA 9.4 is one of the best examples of this game I've seen. With only two other games graded higher, this is a very appealing collector's piece. The one-year average for similar 9.4's is $1,440. There's still a lot of interest in this game, so if you're looking for a high-grade copy for yourself, look no further.

Donkey KongĀ

As we all know, Donkey Kong and Mario are two iconic characters from the minds of Nintendo. The two have been hanging out since the 1981 arcade game, Donkey Kong. Yet despite being a Nintendo property, this port was for the Intellivision console by Mattel, released in 1982. The game wouldn't see a proper Nintendo port until the following year. The game has been re-released several times through the decades, proving that it is still a popular game that new and old players enjoy. Of course, if you're daring, you could always seek out an original Donkey Kong arcade cabinet!

This sealed WATA 9.6 is an awesome find for collectors. The box is bright and colorful, with a pop of neon pink in the corner. This is one of my favorite game covers thanks to the colors and simplicity of it. The one-year average on 9.6 sealed copies is at $308, making this an affordable addition, or entry, for collectors and investors.
