One of the best pieces of 20th-century psychedelic art that was ever created is up for auction at Heritage. The iconic Grateful Dead 1966 “Skeleton & Roses” FD-26 Concert Poster is CGC graded a near-perfect 9.8. The poster measures 14 1/8″ x 19 7/8″. Only one of these posters has ever been auctioned by Heritage before, bringing in $118,750. This was more than double the previous auction record of a 9.8, which sold for $55,000.currently underway –
Also featured in Auction #7241 is a first edition printing of a BG-105 Jimi Hendrix 1968 “Flying Eyeball” Poster CGC Graded 8.5. This is another iconic and instantly recognizable poster to even the most casual collector. The high bid is currently sitting at $4,600, with plenty of room to grow before closing.

Notable Auctions Results from Rock Posters & Collectibles – An FD-5 – BLUES PROJECT – WES WILSON SIGNED – 1966 POSTER – AVALON BALLROOM – CGC RESTORED GRADE – 9.2 with a starting bid of $100 closed for $1,026. This was a great deal for the buyer, as an unsigned 9.2 sold for $4,500 earlier this year. The auction also an EMEK – TOOL BERLIN ’01 – BLUE VARIANT EDITION in near mint condition sell for $1,002.
Summer of Love 20th Anniversary – BIG FIVE SIGNED – 1987 – Golden Gate Park poster in near mint condition realized $702 in the same auction.
