The Rome News Tribune reports the judge in the Gordon Lee case is sick, so the trial has been postponed.

They also report something I had not seen before: they say the TWO children who received Alternative Comics #2 were 6 and 9 years old. If I recall the story correctly, they took the comic home where their parent looked at it, became upset with the content, and filed charges against Gordon Lee. My question is: who was with the children at this Halloween event? If their parent was at home, who was supervising them in downtown Rome, GA that day?

The trial for Rome comic book store owner Gordon Lee, which was scheduled to begin today, has been postponed. Judge Larry Salmon, who is presiding over the case, is sick.

A new start date for the trial has not been set.

Lee is charged with distributing harmful materials to a minor, a misdemeanor. The charges stem from a Halloween 2004 giveaway when an employee of Legends Comics in Rome gave a copy of Alternative Comics No. 2 to two 6-and 9-year-old brothers.
