Death of Wolverine: The Logan Legacy #2 of 7

Tim Seeley takes his issue of The Logan Legacy and focuses on Laura aka X-23. This is a good one-and-done issue as it takes Laura full circle on her dealings with the death of Wolverine. It's not anything that will make or break this series but if you are a fan of the character then this is a good issue to pick up as it really gets inside her head.
Laura is living with the time displaced X-Men and they are doing their best to get her to talk about the death of the man she was cloned from and her first positive guardian, Wolverine. She decides that she isn't feeling anything but anger so she leaves the team in search of something. This is very Wolverine-like of her and it fits the story well as a setup.
She ends up in a club in Canada not doing much of anything when she is met with a gang of thugs. Interestingly another hero shows up, one from Alpha Flight fame, to help her. Laura finds a good fit as this character helps her to make some sense of who she is and what she is all about. From this she learns that she feels other things besides anger.
The comic is a good story cover-to-cover. There is nice pacing, the conversations have a logical flow to them and there is enough action to keep things interesting. The book doesn't seem to tie into the first issue per se but then that helps to make this a decent standalone issue to pick up if you like the character.
Kristantina does a great job on art in this issue. There is a sadness to Laura that is detailed nicely by Kristantina. However, she also switches gears and manages to show some range when Laura makes the occasional quip. The book feels lively with the action as well, which helps to remind the reader that this is a super hero book. Overall, this is a very good artistic presentation.
The Logan Legacy doesn't appear to be much more than a series of one-shots that have some loose connection together. Based on the previous issue I assumed there would be more of a quest that the group embarks on. However, a one-shot dealing with Laura is probably appropriate and this comic does a great job of giving her perspective on the death of wolverine, short of her visiting a shrink. This is a good book.
