On May 5, 2,037 comic book stores across the United States and around the world opened their doors and gave away approximately 2.3 million comic books absolutely free of charge to customers as a part of the industry’s latest Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) event!

With 44 special edition comic books from some of the industry’s top publishers – including Gold Sponsors Archie Comic Publications, Bongo Comics Group, Dark Horse Comics, DC Comics, Devil’s Due Publishing, Dynamite Entertainment, Gemstone Publishing, IDW Publishing, Image Comics, Marvel Comics and TOKYOPOP – there was truly something for every fan that attended.

Retailers across the country reported tremendous success with FCBD 2007, with some of the best customer turnouts ever. To view select photos of the event check the latest issue of Diamond Dialogue as well as Daily.

This year’s Free Comic Book Day saw a level of reporting and discussion in the mainstream media unlike any other year, including features in Entertainment Weekly, USA Today and many others!
