The auction, featuring more than 236-lots of pop-culture memorabilia and collectibles opened for bidding at 6:00 pm ET on Friday, September 30, and concludes on October 16 at LCGAuctions.com.

Originally released at retail on June 29, 2007, for $599, the original iPhone included 8 GB of storage, a touchscreen, a 2-magapixel camera and a web browser. The iconic box features a life-size image of the iPhone with 12 icons on the screen. It quickly became Apple’s most successful product, forever changed the smartphone industry and was named the Time Magazine Invention of the Year in 2007.
“We are thrilled to bring such an iconic item to auction,” said Mark Montero, Founder of LCG Auctions. “A first edition iPhone from 2007 still preserved in its original packaging and in mint condition is a museum-quality piece. There is really no collector’s item I can think of that is relevant to so many. The combination of cultural relevance and rarity make it an extremely desirable piece both from a collector and investor perspective.”

2007 Factory Sealed iPhone First Edition (estimate $35,000+)

One of the most important and ubiquitous inventions of our lifetime, the iPhone was first introduced by Steve Jobs on January 9, 2007 at MacWorld San Francisco.  Just over five months later it was released at retail for $499/$599 on June 29th.  The original iPhone included 4/8 GB of storage, an innovative touchscreen, a 2-megapixel camera, and a web browser.  The iconic box featured a life-size image of the iPhone with 12 icons on the screen.  It quickly became Apple’s most successful product, forever changed the smartphone industry, and was named the Time Magazine Invention of the Year in 2007.

This factory-sealed, first-release example is in exceptional condition.  Virtually flawless along the surface and edges, the factory seal is clean with correct seam details and tightness.  Labels on the reverse are correctly pristine beneath the seal.  All original - no aftermarket stickers or UPC labels on this one.  Brand new, never activated.

1978 Star Wars Luke Skywalker Action Figure with Double Telescoping Lightsaber AFA 85 (estimate $50,000+)

The singular figure credited for starting it all, and the icon of all vintage action figures, is the original Star Wars Luke Skywalker on 12-back card released by Kenner in 1978.  Kenner initially equipped Luke, Ben Kenobi, and Darth Vader with a lightsaber that offered a double telescoping feature. Quickly realizing this feature was too complex, too fragile, and too expensive to manufacture, they ceased production and revised the lightsaber into a simpler design. Very few carded figures with the original double telescoping feature survived in their unopened state. With “double telescoping” lightsaber, these early versions are extraordinarily rare on 12-back card, and they have long been considered a “holy grail” amongst collectors in any grade.

In April, LCG Auctions shattered the production action figure sales record when a comparable figurine graded AFA 90 sold for $100,252, becoming the first-ever six-figure production action figure.

1980 Star Wars Boba Fett Action Figure AFA 85 (estimate $30,000)

This record-setting early release Fett is on a 21 Back-B card and presents magnificently. One of the most desired action figures in any toy line, we expect this to be a popular lot as many collectors will look to upgrade to the coveted AFA 85 “investment grade” level.

Earlier in the year, this exact piece (AFA certification #15147631) peaked at a record-setting realized price of $29,983 at auction in mid-March of 2022.

1982 Masters of the Universe He-Man Action Figure AFA 80 (estimate $20,000)

The most important and recognizable carded action figure in the entire MOTU line, we are pleased to present the icon: He-Man.  Collectors from a wide range of collecting categories have been patiently waiting for quite some time for a quality early release 8-back He-Man to surface.

Our example, paired with The Vengeance of Skeletor comic, boasts an impeccable card, bubble, and figure.  Examples which have survived in such great condition as the presented copy are, in fact, incredibly scarce.

1984 Transformers Jet Fire AFA 90 (estimate $20,000)

This is an extremely attractive high-grade MISB (mint in sealed box) example of one of the hobby’s great icons: Optimus Prime.  Optimus Prime is not only appealing to G1 collectors but has wide crossover appeal to nearly every high-end hobbyist that appreciates the beloved decade of the 1980s.  Rarely do we come across an example as nice as this one – clean and crisp, both front and back, with beautiful bold colors.

This piece is “case fresh” and exhibits no colorbreak whatsoever along the edges and the factory tape is present and remains firmly intact on each end.  The reverse is flawless and free of the typical G1 flap crease.  Desirable mint condition Pepsi sticker adorns the front.  Those issued with the Pepsi sticker are believed to have been released in a much smaller quantity than those without.

1986 M.A.S.K Boulder Hill Playset AFA 85 (estimate $20,000)

When it comes to rare playsets, few match the prestige of the elusive Boulder Hill.  Nearly impossible to find in factory-sealed condition, most collectors have simply had to do without.  Until now.

We are proud to present the highest-graded example in existence: an immaculate AFA 85.  It is the only AFA 85 with none graded higher or equivalent.  Collectors have had to exercise patience and wait many years for this “85” to hit the market.  This giant playset exhibits bold colors, no fade or discoloration, is factory tape sealed with no sign of give, and presents beautifully.  One of the great playsets in the hobby, we are honored to bring this preeminent piece to market.

1987 G.I. Joe Defiant Playset CAS 80 (estimate $25,000)

At an impressive 4 feet high and nearly 3 feet wide, we are pleased to present what is widely considered one of the most impressive playsets ever released, The Defiant: Space Vehicle Launch Complex.  This high-grade factory-sealed example is simply extraordinary.

Classic, iconic box art showcase the front panel and the back panel features a diagram of what’s contained within.

Early 1980’s Factory Sealed Friday the 13th VHS tape - Beckett Graded 9.2/A (estimate $15,000) -- the first Beckett Graded VHS to hit to auction block.

This is a rare first edition variant from Paramount Home Video. 1980 Slipcover with I-Seal (Vertical Fold) and white Paramount Home Video Watermarks (Double Stack).
