Welcome back to another Week in Speculation!
This week, we’re kicking things off with a look at KEY Blue Beetle sales, now that the movie has been out for a few weeks.
Blue Beetle earned $10 million on opening day, giving the film the number one place in box office sales overall, but it still ranks the second-lowest DC Extended Universe film by domestic opening weekend. The only DC Universe film with a worse opening was Wonder Woman 1984. Which to be fair, was released direct to streaming due to the pandemic.
After we put the Beetle away, we’re chatting about Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely’s 2005-2008 series “All-Star Superman.” Could we see an on-screen adaptation anytime soon?
