After years of waiting, Marvel’s Enchantress appears to be in the MCU, and that has caused a spike in her key issues.

*This article includes spoilers for Loki and was written before 6/23's episode was released.

From Loki’s first episode, fans waited to see the female Loki who had appeared in the comics. After the second episode, many theorists began wondering if instead of Loki in his female form, perhaps this was a version of the Enchantress. Then came a listing on Zavvi for a Loki helmet that described Sylvie causing destruction in the Multiverse, and that has many fans believing she will be the MCU’s Enchantress

AMORA OR SYLVIE?

In the comics, there have been two versions of the Enchantress. First, there was Amora, an Asgardian that many expected to see alongside Skurge in Thor: Ragnarok. During "Dark Reign," Loki created Sylvie Lushton and gave her magic powers to help him wreak havoc on the Multiverse. It appears that may be precisely what is happening in Loki.

THE KEYS

That has left collectors scrambling for those Enchantress keys both from the Silver and Modern Ages. Here’s your market update as you peruse the internet for copies of your very own.

JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY #103

No matter which Enchantress is in the MCU, this will always be the key to have. At least in the comics, the versions of the character are nearly the same, and collectors want the original Silver Age appearance. Of course, this happens to be the debut of Amora, who fawned after Thor for decades. As an added bonus, she also debuted on the cover art, which should please anyone wanting to have their copy slabbed and displayed.

Episode Two has made for a record-breaking month for Journey Into Mystery #103. Nine different grades have sold in June, and eight of those produced new high sales. The highest grade sold so far has been the 9.0, and it brought $3,694 just last week. Toward the middle of the pack is the 6.5, which most recently sold for $755. The lowest grade sold in June so far is the 3.0. That particular grade brought $309 in its last sale.

JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY #104

If you are looking for something more budget-friendly, get the next best thing: the second appearance of Enchantress in Journey Into Mystery #104. What would make this issue more collectible would be for her to have been on the cover, but she was left off this time. Still, it helps the prices stay reasonable.

Another reason to want this issue is the Twilight Sword. That particular item has taken on added importance after the X of Swords X-Men crossover as the weapon that separated the living island of Krakoa from Arakko.

For a fraction of the price of that mythic first appearance, you can own a much higher grade for the same prices as the lower grades of JIM #103. With a budget of $150 or less, you can go all the way to a 6.5. Even in the upper grades, the values are much more reasonable compared to JIM #103. A 9.0 is still selling for under $400 at the moment.

DARK REIGN: YOUNG AVENGERS #1

Many fans assume Sylvie will be the MCU’s Enchantress, pretending to be Loki as she traverses the Sacred Timeline and beyond. That means it was her at the end of Episode Two who set off the charges and caused the cataclysmic event that could have major implications for the future of the MCU. Like Amora before her, Sylvie would find her first appearance and first cover art in the same issue, and that’s a boon for collectors.

The last time there was a graded copy of Dark Reign: Young Avengers #1 sold was December of last year. On that day, it brought $78. Raw copies are staying in the $50-$70 range, but that will quickly change if we hear the name “Sylvie” in the new episode.
