Diamond Distribution is closing its three Memphis warehouses and replacing them with one new facility in Olive Branch, Tennessee.

Diamond Comics Distributors Inc., which company-wide distributes more than 1.7 million comic books per week, including Batman books, is in the process of moving into the facility in Olive Branch.

All three of the company's Memphis locations will be consolidated to the Olive Branch site on Polk Lane.

Diamond Comics officials expect the new location, souped up with packaging technology and yards of conveyor lines, to minimize handling and increase efficiency so that "everything flows just like clockwork," said Mark Gedeon, training manager. "This changes the whole game," he added.
