Media Release -- Titan Magazines and Skybound are pleased to announce The Walking Dead, The Official Magazine is already one of Diamond's best selling magazines of all time, more than a month prior to its release. Due to this overwhelming response, Diamond has extended its ordering deadline for issue #1. Any retailers wishing to order this highly demanded issue, or place a reorder, are urged to do so before the release date of October 23.
The premier issue debuts on October 23 to coincide with the show's October 14th Season 3 premiere airing on AMC. The first issue features 100 pages of all the latest news, revelations and tips for fans of the television show, the comic book series, the graphic novels and the entire The Walking Dead universe.
Issue #1 comes with an alternative cover featuring an exclusive zombie scene by The Walking Dead comic artist, Charlie Adlard, colored by The Walking Dead colorist Cliff Rathburn.

The magazine's initial announcement last June prompted a huge national media buzz, and Titan is planning a massive marketing campaign to support the magazine launch with print, online, social-networking and PR activity.
"Titan is putting a huge amount of effort into making this magazine as cool as it can possibly be, so I have to give a huge hats off to them for that," said The Walking Dead creator/writer, Robert Kirkman, also Executive Producer and writer on the series based upon his groundbreaking comic.
