The news that we have all been waiting for has arrived! Well, second to seeing the X-Men coming to the big screen, hahaha. Either way, Deadpool 3 has been confirmed!

What do we already know?

The veteran writing sisters from Bob’s Burgers, Wendy Molyneux and Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin will be joining Ryan Reynolds in writing the script for the upcoming movie. In addition, it is said that David Leitch will also jump on board as the new director. No one knows yet what direction the movie will take but it should keep its R rating.

This has sparked a slew of theories as to who will be the big baddie in the movie. I have heard it go from Rogue marking her connection with Captain Marvel to an all-out brawl between the X-Men and the Avengers. Obviously, those are far-fetched ideas since mutants haven’t been announced in the MCU yet, however with Feige at the helm who knows where it will go.

Due to this hitting the news and everyone’s love for the Merc with a mouth, his keys will soon start to get out of control. Along with the great news I wanted to share some key books you should keep on your radar to try and get a little ahead of the game. Remember, if you see these books out of your range, just give it time for the news to calm down then pounce!

New Mutants #98 / First Appearance of Deadpool

New Mutants #98 is a given. If you are a fan you either have this book or in search of it. This comic also features the first appearance of Gideon, a member of the Externals, and Copycat who assumed the identity of Domino.  Not only is this an epic key to have of Deadpool’s but also has a gorgeous cover. There are 3 versions of this book, the Direct Edition, Newsstand, and Mark Jewelers. Sales for this book in a 9.8 have hit huge highs. One sold on November 2nd of this year for a whopping $1,020! Even 9.0's are selling for $300 or more. If you own one hold on to it and if you don't try and find a quick deal or simply wait for the spike to be over.

X-Force #2 / Second Appearance of Deadpool

Although he makes an unofficial appearance in X-Force #1, X-Force #2 is the official second appearance. We also meet Weapon X, Garrison Kane in this issue who could also make an appearance down the line in the MCU. Wolverine also carries that same number, which can be confusing, however according to Rob Liefeld Kane was supposed to be Weapon XI. THE current FMV for a 9.8 is $65 with one selling in the past few days for only $39.51. Very easy to snatch up especially at these prices.

Deadpool Limited Series #1 (First Appearance of Dr. Killebrew)

Not many know who this man is, but he is the doctor who made the psychotic super-merc with a mouth, Deadpool. Doctor Killebrew was also the commander of Ajax a.k.a. Mr. Say my name again, Francis! His first appearance in Deadpool Limited Series #1 is a must-have. We didn’t see him in the movie but who knows what the future holds in store for this character. Dr. Killebrew did try and redeem himself by sacrificing himself in order for Deadpool to beat Ajax. Maybe Ajax might be back and Dr. Killegrew will play a big part. Remember, in comics, no one stays dead. The current FMV for this book at a 9.8 is holding at $95, not pricey- but in time who knows where it will reach.

Deadpool #1 (1st Appearance of Blind Al and Joe Kelly begins writing series)

Who didn’t love Blind Al in the movies? She can somewhat build Ikea furniture, carries a gun and since she can’t see, doesn’t freak out when Wade comes home in pieces. She is the iconic side-kick and one we all wish we had.  In addition to her first appearance, this marks the start of Joe Kelly writing the Deadpool series, who is credited with shaping Deadpool into the crazy, funny character that we all love. If not for Joe Kelly who knows how Deadpool would be today. In August a Deadpool #1 sold for about $245 with a 9.8 grade but currently it holds a FMV of $190. Prices have come down but with this news hitting everywhere, it might just jump back up.

Deadpool / Death 98’ #1 Origin of Deadpool and Ajax

The origin issue of Deadpool and Ajax shows us how each became who they are. Not their first appearances, but still a great book showing us the back story of these important and awesome characters. It’s a great way to see the beginnings of these guys and their hatred towards each other. Plus, it’s a cool wraparound cover. There is no current FMV marked yet but a Deadpool/Death '98 #1 sold in September for $175. Can't go wrong with this book and its price.

Bottom Line

The bottom line is, we ALL love this movie and fell in love with Ryan doing such an amazing job. His charisma is one of a kind and if anyone can get Hugh Jackman back as Wolverine it's this guy. However, who knows what Feige and the writers have in mind when it comes to part 3 of this series. Knowing them we could have a movie simply all about Peter responding to another Deadpool Ad hahaha. Either way, start looking for deals and hold on to your books, these will all soon start to spike and you want to be on the bottom floor when it does. Which keys do you have? Have you heard any other rumors? Let me know below!

Till Next Time, Happy Hunting!
