Media Release -- Hero Initiative, the charity that helps comic book creators in medical and financial need, is celebrating the 75th anniversary of Wonder Woman in a HUGE way!

DC Entertainment created a precious few blank-covered editions of a Wonder Woman 75th Anniversary Special and the Hero Initiative got 100 top artists to do original drawings right on the cover. The result is The Wonder Woman 100 Project!

The originals will be auctioned off starting in May, and a Wonder Woman 100 Project softcover book collecting all the covers will be available from DC in June (Diamond Order Code APR170441). A limited edition hardcover will be available direct from Hero Initiative at the same time.

"We're thrilled to partner again with Hero Initiative to celebrate Wonder Woman and support such a worthwhile cause," stated DC Entertainment Publisher Jim Lee. "The original covers are impressive and sure to be a hit with Wonder Woman fans and collectors."

About The Hero Initiative

The Hero Initiative is the first-ever federally chartered not-for-profit corporation dedicated strictly to helping comic book creators in need. Hero creates a financial safety net for yesterday's creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work. It's a chance for all of us to give back something to the people who have given us so much enjoyment.

Since its inception, The Hero Initiative has had the good fortune to grant over $950,000 to the comic book veterans who have paved the way for those in the industry today. For more information, visit www.heroinitiative.org or call 626-676-6354.
