Media Release — Two more names attached to the soon-to-be-relaunched Dark Horse flagship title Dark Horse Presents were announced by Mike Richardson to a packed house at Stumptown Comics Fest. The panel, which included Eric Powell, Carla Speed McNeil, Michael T. Gilbert, and David Chelsea, provided a chance for fans to get a glimpse of what’s to come in the highly anticipated anthology.
Eric Powell revealed his cover for Dark Horse Presents #5 and offered fans a taste of what’s to come in his upcoming story, Isolation. When the human race looks to the stars to find a new home before time runs out, humanity’s hope for survival rests on the shoulders of one of the most advanced robots ever conceived. Sent on a five-hundred-year mission to discover if an alien world is a suitable home, this intelligent machine becomes self-aware and begins to confront the effects of its hundreds of years of isolation. This journey to save the human race becomes a journey to discover what it means to be human … and alone.
Additionally, fans were given a first look at Treatment, the upcoming eight pager by Dave Gibbons (Watchmen, Give Me Liberty).
The first issue of Dark Horse Presents goes on sale this coming Wednesday, April 20.
