Welcome back folks! We’ve got six Dark Reign issues this week, so let’s get down to it. Elisabeth is up at Crypticon so you’re stuck with me for this week’s update! I’ll try not to give away key elements, but beware: SPOILERS AHEAD!!!

Amazing Spider-Man #596We’re back for part 2 (of 5) of American Son in Amazing Spider-Man #596. Harry took his father up on his offer in Amazing Spider-Man #595, and Parker thinks he’s making a HUGE mistake.

He recruits some help to infiltrate Avengers tower and find out just what plans Stormin’ Norman has in mind for Harry. I sure hope he’s not getting himself in too deep here!

I’m really impressed with Paulo Siquiera’s work, and Amilton Santos’ inks are fantastic!

Check back next week for Amazing Spider-Man #597!

Agents of Atlas #6What can I say about Agents of Atlas #6? Jana Schirmer does a wonderful job on the colors in this issue! Other than that, there really isn’t too much happening by way of Dark Reign here…

…unless you’re a fan of Namor or buy-in to the whole Cabal thing. The group travels to the depths to visit Namora’s cousin. What they discover is an under water garden of Eden where Atlanteans can live their lives unmolested by the surface dwellers. Namora’s needed in Oceana, and she might just take up Namor on his offer to stay!

We’ll see you back here next month for Agents of Atlas #7!

Dark Avengers #5There’s a lot going on in Dark Avengers #5. Sentry just came back and he’s still not quite lucid.

Meanwhile, Norman goes on camera to publicly respond to his detractors and assure the American public that he’s the right man for the job and the team starts to unravel back at Avengers Tower.

I’m not going to give anything else away, but at the end of this issue, a new threat appears that will require the Avengers to pull together and act as a team. I can’t wait for Dark Avengers #6!

Mighty Avengers #25I’m going to be honest and tell you I didn’t expect much out of Mighty Avengers #25. This book knocked me off my feet!

If you don’t know, Hank Pym’s laboratory is in a side-dimension an all of the doors are about to be shut for good. Hank turns to Marvel’s First Family for aid, but Reed Richards, in his infinite wisdom, turns Pym away.

It’s on, and Pym’s got his sights on the Baxter building! Page 14 is so great! I won’t say anything more about that, though. Meanwhile, U.S. Agent and Quicksilver are off to Tibet…

I was really impressed by the art in this issue and Slott’s taking the book in a great direction. Be sure to get your order in for Mighty Avengers #26!

New Avengers Reunion #4I know Elisabeth and I both had issues with the first three issues, but I really liked New Avengers: The Reunion #4.

In the final Reunion issue, we finally get resolution between Ronin/Hawkeye and Mockingbird. Way to go Jim, you made me a believer. Plus, you can’t lose with a Jo Chen cover! Absolutely beautiful!

If you’ve gotten previous issues, make sure you follow it up with this one, you won’t be disappointed.

Black Panther #5Fantastic! Black Panther #5 is everything comics should be.

Storm has traveled to Limbo in hopes of saving her husband and Wakanda from their most recent threat-Morlun, Devourer of Totems! There’s plenty of action for those of you who’ve written this book off.

Also, Shuri realizes her place and decides to take action. Black Panther fans will NEED to pick up this issue! See you back here for Black Panther #6!
