This week, we’ve got three Dark Reign titles, and with ‘em comes our weekly Dark Reign update. As always, we’ll do our best not to give away anything too major, but reader beware: SPOILERS AHEAD!

Last time we saw the Dark Avengers, Morgana Le Fay had them right where she wanted them . . . but at the end of this issue, things are a bit different! Dark Avengers #3 has a great little flashback about how Norman Osborn was able to get the Sentry on his team. It’s actually a pretty touching conversation between the two, and if I didn’t know better, I would think Osborn truly wanted to help Bob through his mental problems.

Meanwhile, during the present battle, Morgana dies again, but continues to take out the new Avengers one by one until Doom awakens . . . and that’s all I’m gonna say, folks! I’m certainly looking forward to Dark Avengers #4!

Wolverine Origins #34Hey folks, ready for me? Ol’ Wolvie is racing against time, Nick Fury at his side, to get between the X-Men and his long-lost son, Daken, in Wolverine Origins #34. Why? Let’s just say that Daken has some daddy issues–as well as a truly horrible haircut. Why is he so fug with Wolverine as a father, anyway?

Meanwhile, Emma Frost is butting heads with Norman Osborn over the matter–she wants Osborn to call off Daken, pronto. However, Osborn is intrigued with his own personal “Wolverine,” and now he’s curious–that’s not going to end well for anyone, but I’m betting especially for the White Queen. I’ve been burned by the X-Books before, but I’m truly looking forward to Wolverine Origins #35.

Frank Castle is serving up his own sort of justice in Punisher #3. In fact, this issue is so hot, I wouldn’t be surprised if it sells out before I finish writing this . . .

The Hood is none too happy after the Punisher took out some of Osborn’s operations. And, as we find out in this issue, when the Hood isn’t happy, people die! Rick Remender tells a good story and leads us further down the rabbit hole. I’m also digging Jerome Opena’s art–the “getaway” scene gives us a sense of urgency without feeling like he rushed it or tried to fit it in too few panels. Good stuff. Be sure to get your pre-order in for Punisher #4 before that issue sells out, too!

Have you been following Dark Reign like we have? Have no experience with Marvel’s latest crossover event? Either way, we want to know what you think. Sound off below.
