We got to breathe for a bit last week, as there were no Dark Reign issues that came out. We’ve only got one book to review this week, and then we’re right back in the middle of things with nine Dark Reign issues coming out next week! I’ll do my best not to give anything too major away, but beware: SPOILERS AHEAD!

I’m pretty happy with this issue of Dark Avengers #2. We get to see more of the crew without their masks on in the privacy of Avengers Tower. I’m still baffled as to how Osborn can control the Iron Patriot suit as though he’s been doing it for years. Did I miss something?

Anyway, we follow the Dark Avengers (or Avengers, as Norman refers to them) on their first mission, and it’s a doozy. Morgana Le Fay is pretty upset with Dr. Doom, and she’s not one to be trifled with. You know what they say about scorned women . . .

On a side note, I still think that Deodato is thinking about Tommy Lee Jones while he’s at work, because his Osborn bears a striking resemblance to the actor. I digress. I guess you could say the lesson in this story is that you never want to find yourself between Doom and Morgana Le Fay.

You got me again, Bendis–I’m on board. Bring on Dark Avengers #3!

So . . . what do you all think so far? Are you as excited for next week’s Dark Reign books as I am? Post your comments below!
