16637 Darick Robertson and Shaky Kane support the CBLDF at SDCC 2010Artist and writer Darick Robertson will donate a sketch to our Second Annual SDCC Autograph Card/CBLDF Auction event! His amazing sketch of Conan the Barbarian, pictured below, will be auctioned off by the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund in San Diego Saturday, July 24 at 7:30 in Room 3, with 100% of the proceeds going toward the fight for the First Amendment rights of the comics community!

Robertson wrote and drew Conan the Cimmerian: The Weight of the Crown for Dark Horse Comics, and he also provided covers for the publisher’s Solomon Kane: Death’s Black Riders miniseries. He’s also well known as co-creator and artist for Transmetropolitan and The Boys.

Want your own Conan to take home? You’re in luck, if you’re attending SDCC this year. Robertson’s Conan sketch, as well as all of the amazing donations from our publishers and creators–will be reproduced as free limited-edition autograph cards that we will be giving away for free at Comic-Con! If you’re headed to San Diego later this month, make sure to visit all of our participants’ booths ASAP, as well as the TFAW booth, to collect them all.

His amazing sketch from Bulletproof Coffin, pictured below, will be auctioned off by the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund in San Diego Saturday, July 24 at 7:30 in Room 3, with 100% of the proceeds going toward the fight for the First Amendment rights of the comics community!

Kane has been busy drawing Bulletproof Coffin (written by another CBLDF contributor, David Hine) for Image Comics. He started out in the 1980s working on independent comics, then became well -known for Judge Dredd Megazine and 2000 AD.

You can bid on the original at the CBLDF auction, or take home a copy–all of the donations from our publishers and creators will be reproduced as free limited-edition autograph cards that we will be giving away for free at Comic-Con! If you’re headed to San Diego later this month, make sure to visit all of our participants’ booths ASAP, as well as the TFAW booth, to collect them all.
