Collectors Comics is coming in hot this season with their Spring Feature Auction, ending May 13-14! There are hundreds of books in this auction, ranging from Golden Age to Modern Age, with a variety of grades as well. This is a great chance for collectors to bulk up their collections, and maybe walk home with a key or two! Here are my favorite comic gems from this feature auction.

X-Men #1 CGC Universal 3.5

This is by far one of the most collected and invested Marvel comics of all time. X-Men #1 introduces the X-Men, their origin, and their nemesis Magneto. This series is still enjoyed to this day, and now with the X-Men officially in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this book's value will only continue to increase.

This is a grail book for many and is rightfully considered one of the most important comics from the Silver Age. Copies of this book are easy to find though. To date, CGC has graded over 4,000 copies of X-Men #1.

This CGC blue label 3.5 has Off-White pages and a well-loved cover. There are 429 3.5 examples,  with a little over 2,000 being graded higher. The current one-year average on this book is $10,736, though prices have cooled slightly. Use this dop to your advantage, as this may be one of the few times you'll be able to get this book at a lower price. X-Men #1 has boundless potential in any grade.

Stranger Things #1 CGC Universal 9.8

In July of 2016, the Duffer brothers released Stranger Things on Netflix. The show was an instant hit and is arguably one of the most-watched shows on any streaming platform. The sci-fi horror show blends masterful storytelling and compelling characters in the world of the 1980s.

There's a lot that can be said about how good this show is, and how excited fans are for the fifth and final season. The series spawned a franchise kingdom, including comics. This issue of Stranger Things #1 features a vintage-looking photo cover with Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers.

This CGC blue label 9.8 has White pages and a lovely distressed cover. The comics of Stranger Things take fans further into the mythos of the series, but you also don't need to read the books to understand the Netflix show. CGC has graded 79 of these with a blue label, with 71 receiving a 9.8. The one-year average on this book is $43, with no indication that prices will increase. This would make a great Signature Series book or a great piece for a fan of the series.

Sensational She-Hulk #1 CGC Universal 9.4

While not She-Hulk's first appearance, Sensational She-Hulk by John Byrne and Bob Wiacek was a great re-introduction of the character. She-Hulk, or Jen Walters, does plenty of fourth-wall-breaking in this series, especially on the covers. This was a fun series that even made me a fan of the hero.

Interest in this book did go up thanks to the Disney+ show, and while we don't know when we'll see She-Hulk next, she will absolutely be back.

This CGC blue label 9.4 has White pages and a beautiful bright pink cover with She-Hulk front and center. This cover is iconic, and a personal favorite. Prices have cooled on this book, but I don't see this becoming a huge investment piece for some time. To date, CGC has graded 2,304, with 372 of those examples receiving a 9.4 grade. 1,163 are graded higher.

The current one-year average on this book is $69, with prices continuing to cool. If this book has been on your list, now is the time to buy.
