Comic Auctions: Results

Goldin Auctions Comics, Video Game, & TCG Elite Auction Closes, Sets Records

Goldin Auction's inaugural foray into comic book auctioning brought in a slew of new records to mark down in the books.

Batman #1 set a new record for the book in an 8.0, raking in $1,476,000.  Recent sales of this grade landed at $1,207,500 in April through ComicConnect and nearly half a million in 2019.  This book is no stranger to record-setting or $1M+ sales prices. A near-mint (9.4)  issue of Batman #1 sold for just over $2.2 million in January, setting a record for the most expensive Batman comic sold.

An Amazing Fantasy #15 in a CGC 8.5 sold for $707,250, setting a new high sales record for 8.5s. This book is another familiar face in the record-setting community, as a 9.6 recently set the record for most expensive comic sold after realizing 3.6 million at Heritage. Dig deeper into the sales data for this book by clicking HERE.

This auction also set a couple of all-time sales records. A CGC 9.6 (highest grade in the census) Avengers #1 sold for $369,000 and a Journey Into Mystery #83 in CGC 9.4 sold for $319,800, each setting personal bests for their respective titles.
