With the wedding looming, comic collectors will be taking more interest in two prominent X-Men, Colossus and Shadowcat.  The impending marriage is double exposure for Colossus, who is a prominent character in the hit film, Deadpool 2. That is going to raise the stock for those key issues featuring the X-Men's go-to behemoth.

Before you go shopping for those X-keys, here's your grocery list to take along with you.

The wedding season is upon us, and if it wasn't for Batman getting hitched, Colossus and Kitty Pryde's ceremony would be the talk of the summer. While X-Men Gold #30 will undoubtedly sell its fair share of comics, it won't reach the same number as the Bat-wedding. Still, the X-wedding (it's always fun to type X- in front of anything related to the X-Men; if Colossus and Shadowcat get divorced, it will be my duty to call them X-exes.) is going to capture the attention of many fans, and that will increase the value of those precious key issues.

GIANT-SIZE X-MEN #1

This is an easy one. When has GSX #1 ever NOT been a major key? The thing is, this already-major key has become even hotter. For the past 90 days, virtually every grade of GSX #1 has been on the rise, and I point to the possible inclusion of the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the main cause of that. To a lesser extent,  the popularity of Deadpool 2 and the intrigue for X-Men Gold #30 are also pushing this key to even loftier heights as this is the first appearance of not only Colossus, but also Storm and Nightcrawler. Don't forget this is Wolverine's debut outside the pages of Incredible Hulk. The reality is that if you don't already have your copy, you'll find it hard to get one, and there are no signs that it will lose steam anytime soon.

X-MEN #129

In these pages, Colossus met his future wife, Kitty Pryde, in her first appearance. Not only do you get Shadowcat's debut, but this issue also features the premieres of the Hellfire Club, most notably Emma Frost. That explains why it is so expensive, too. If you're lucky enough to get your hands on a CGC 9.8, it has jumped from an average of $681 last year to $1,030 over the 90-day average.  For those of us aiming a bit lower, an 8.5 has risen from $77 in 2017 to a 90-day average of $104. With Kitty Pryde being a featured member in the pages of X-Men Gold and the upcoming wedding, you can anticipate this issue to keep climbing in the months to come.

X-MEN #102

Thank Deadpool 2 for an increased interest in X-Men #102. Besides being an early issue in the historic Chris Claremont X-Men run, this issue gave us our first highly-anticipated battle between the strongest X-Man and the team's strongest foe, Juggernaut. Not surprisingly, X-Men #102 has been quite popular as of late. All grades have been on the rise in the last three months. The biggest jump is the CGC-graded 9.4. After averaging $131 in 2017, it sold for an astounding $702 on April 21. A month prior, one sold for $265.
