2003 JCHS grad lands highly sought job at Marvel Comics

She took commercial art classes at Jefferson City High School (she laments they have since been slashed from the school's schedule) and graduated with a bachelor's degree in fine arts from the Illinois Institute of Art in Chicago in 2007. Although she trained to be an animator, Warren plans to be an illustrator instead.

A friend, another colorist, opened the door to Marvel for Warren.

Christina Scrain was one of the first people to see Warren's talent online. Scrain did Warren a favor by introducing her to Marvel's editors and talking up her work.
So far she's painted the mini-series, “Big Hero Six,” and “Cloak and Dagger,” coming out soon. Warren also had a hand in painting issues five and six of “Secret Invasion,” which pits all of Marvel's heroes (they exist in the same universe) against the evil Skrulls, a group of alien shape-shifters.
