Comic collectors always get a bad wrap. We always have for years now. However, people fail to realize that comics are just simply AMAZING! They transport us to a world that we can't even begin to dream of. They give us hope, courage, and inspire us to be better. Even many A-List celebrities collect comics! Want to know who? Keep reading below and you just might be surprised!

10. Nicolas Cage

This one was a given but couldn't make the list without him. Better known as Nicolas Coppola, Nicolas Cage changed his name to pave his own path in show biz. Not only did he take his last name from the Power Man, Luke Cage but he also named his son Kal-El, Superman's name on Krypton. Cage has even owned Action Comics #1 and Detective Comics #27. Unfortunately, in 2000 they were both stolen from him. Like any true fan, he was heartbroken. So heartbroken, that he sold off the rest of his collection at auction. Personally, I can fully understand how he felt.

9. Rosario Dawson

Many know her as Claire Temple the Night Nurse from Daredevil. But did you also know she has voiced Wonder Woman in many of the DC animated movies? In addition, she has also voiced Batgirl in The Lego Batman Movie. But wait, there's more! Not only is she a fan of comics but she has written her own! Dawson created a 4 part mini-series called Occult Crimes Taskforce (OCT). An NYC based Task Force created to deal with crimes of occult origins. Rosario has also acted on Clerks II with another famous collector...

8. Kevin Smith

This man has lived every collectors' dream! This super-fan has been a director, actor, podcaster, and writer. He sold his original comic collection in order to create his first movie, Clerks. With those funds, he was able to buy his own comic shop aptly named, Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash. It was named after the two characters him and Jason Mewes played. Lucky for me it is in NJ and it is actually nice. Don't get wrong it is mostly geared towards all stuff Kevin Smith, but they do have a great selection of books. Plus you might still see some of the Comic Book Men hanging out or working.

7. Elvis Presley

The King of Rock N' Roll was also a famed collector! This award-winning singer was loved by all and set the standard for cool. However, ever since Captain Marvel Jr. came out in 1941, Elvis was a fan! He kept a large collection of the series and even modeled himself after him. That famous curl in his hair and even the jumpsuit were all ideas he took from Capt. Marvel Jr. Who would have thought that the King of Cool was imitating a comic hero?

6. Method Man

M-E-T-H-O-D MAN! That's right! Even the Ticallion Stallion himself loves comics! I don't mean he just likes them, he LOVES THEM! He has amassed a collection of over 300,000 comics! He started collecting at the young age of 12 or 13 and hasn't stopped. Method Man still goes to the same shop to buy his books to this day. His grail and prized comic in his collection is the infamous Incredible Hulk #181. He purchased it when it was still only 35 cents. Method Man didn't stop at just collecting, like others he has also written comics. He still has the check from Marvel for writing his book. Of course, the character was named after himself, who could blame him.

5. Eminem

Going with rappers, here is the Rap God himself on the list. In his younger days, he aspired to be a comic artist but settled in being one of the kings of rap. Just like Method Man, Eminem has also appeared in Marvel comics alongside the Avengers. In addition, he also had his own comic with the Punisher titled, "Eminem/Punisher". Believe it or not, a 9.8 just sold in May for $1,399! Not much is known about his collection except that it has been called "otherworldly". Senior Director of A&R for Shady Records, Riggs Morales, has stated he has seen one of his prized books. That book is Amazing Fantasy #15, the first appearance ever of Spider-Man.

4. Ryan Reynolds

Deadpool himself has made our list! Ryan is not just an amazing actor and the best Deadpool ever, but also a fan. Ryan has been determined to play superhero roles for years. He started in Blade: Trinity, then Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and finally the Deadpool movies. I didn't mention Green Lantern because let's face it, no one wants to remember that movie. Funny enough, a joke made in a comic saying that Deadpool looks like a mutated Ryan is what made him really want the role. Let's be honest though, NO ONE can play Deadpool better than Ryan.

3. Maisie Williams

The lovely and fearsome Arya Stark is a HUGE webhead! She has gone on record saying how much she loves Spidey. Even her entire house is covered in Spider-Man posters, talk about a true fan. In 2014, she attended the San Diego Comic-Con with a Spider-Man mask. Just like Peter Parker, she hid her identity from all there. During the same con, she also wore an entire dress made from recycled comics. Nice to see a softer side to the best assassin in Westeros.

2. Adrianne Curry

Known for being the first cycle winner of America's Next Top Model, she is an avid comic fan. She grew up as a tomboy who loved Star Wars and Batman. She has even admitted to having a crush on Rorschach from Watchmen. Besides being a major supermodel, she also loves to cosplay and a fan of video games. Pretty much a dream come true, to be honest! Luckily she found someone who matches her perfectly. Her current husband Matthew Rhode is a very well known voice over artist. He has done voice-overs in Avengers: Endgame and Joker. Sounds like a match in comic paradise!

Saved the best for last...

1. Barack Obama

That's right! Our beloved former President Obama is a comic fan. Although he does not like Pokemon, he is a big Conan the Barbarian, and Spider-Man fan collecting both series. Like others, he was also in a comic book. Amazing Spider-Man #583 sees our fearless leader right on the cover. Filled with political leaders, like the late Senator McCain and former VP Biden, Obama was featured in this Inauguration Day release. Spider-Man saves the day by defeating the Chameleon who impersonated Obama.

Bottom Line

Many of us feel like outcasts due to our huge love of comics. People have laughed and made jokes as we party at Comic Cons. But as you see, everyone loves comics. From actors to rappers, comics have been a part of many people's lives. So next time you feel like an outcast, remember the many people who share our passion.

Hope you enjoyed this!

Till Next Time, Happy Hunting!
