Wait. Are those the Marvel Zombies in the Multiverse of Madness trailer? That’s the rumor, and it is causing a spike in prices for these issues.

One way or another, Marvel fans will get their fill of brains. And by brains, I mean Marvel Zombies.

After the shuffling horde of undead superheroes debuted in What If…?, fans are demanding more. Marvel Zombies have their own animated series in development, but many theorists are wondering if they will arrive in the live-action MCU. The speculation comes from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness footage that showcases what appears to be a zombie Sorcerer Supreme. Could this be the zombies’ introduction into the MCU? If so, you’ll want to add these issues to your collecting wish lists pronto.

ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR #21

Trivia question: what superstar writer helped create the Marvel Zombies? Those Ultimate Fantastic Four stories that introduced the world to superpowered, flesh-craving monsters were written by Mark Millar, the creator of Old Man Logan and Millarworld.

This was such a fun story. Reed Richards is manipulated by his manipulative doppelganger from an alternate dimension. Later, in the issue’s final panel, it’s revealed that the evil Reed Richards left the Ultimate FF on Earth-2149.

There have only been two standard editions graded at 9.8 to sell this year. The first went for $276 in February, and, more recently, a second sold for $300 on April 8.

Another option is the variant edition, which sold for over $1,200 last summer. So far this year, there has been just one sale also on April 8 for $550.

ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR #22

The undead superheroes shuffled their way to their first full appearance in UFF #22, and that is proving to be a close second-hottest key on today’s list.

With all the talk of zombies in MOM and on Disney+, the 9.8 has been reaching record highs in the last year.

February 26 saw one sell for $750, which was $27 from tying the record set in 2021.

For the past month, it has averaged over $500.

ULTIMATE FANTASTIC FOUR #30

Nine issues after making their debut in UFF #21, the Marvel Zombies made their first cover appearance on UFF #30.

We don’t see the entire horde, but we do get a good look at the zombie Fantastic Four. As cover hunting becomes more popular, this could be a wise investment.

At less than $40 for a graded 9.8, there’s hardly any risk. Don’t forget there’s also a sketch cover floating around the auction sites. It last sold for $100 in August 2021.

Just this month, the variant edition brought $123 on April 4.

MARVEL ZOMBIES #1

How fitting is it that the first Marvel Zombies title was written by Robert Kirkman? Before he began conquering the world of comics and television, Kirkman was writing zombie stories at Marvel Comics.

With the Marvel Zombies animated show confirmed for Disney+, fans are left to wonder how much inspiration the show will take from his original comic run. If we’re lucky, the showrunners will lean heavily on this series.

Need a graded 9.8 to look pretty in your collection? The most recent sale was for $375 on April 26.

SO MANY ZOMBIES, SO LITTLE TIME

Whether or not we’ll see the zombies in MOM is one of the many lingering questions heading into the movie’s premiere. There’s no guarantee we’re seeing zombie Strange or Scarlet Witch, and it’s likely they’re tied into a Nightmare fantasy world. With the cartoon in development, we are guaranteed more zombies, so investing in their keys is a worthwhile endeavor.
