Jay-Z, Blackstone Tactical Opportunities Acquire CGC Parent Certified Collectibles Group: Blackstone announced Thurs, June 1 that it will acquire a majority stake in the Certified Collectibles Group (CCG) in a transaction valuing the company at more than $500 million. Mark Salzberg, CCG’s founder, and Steven R. Eichenbaum, CCG’s CEO, will retain a significant minority stake.

CCG’s leadership team will remain in place, combining their experience with Blackstone’s extensive resources.

Mark Salzberg, founder of CCG, said: “When I established CCG, I had a vision that we would transform collectibles into an asset class that is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors around the world. It has been incredible to be a part of this journey as we achieved and then exceeded these goals. Steve Cohen Group Buys Sports-Collectible Shop Goldin Auctions: An investment group led by hedge fund billionaire Steve Cohen is buying Goldin Auctions, the largest auction house for sports collectibles.

Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, though the current owners of Goldin Auctions will get equity in the acquiring firm, according to Chief Executive Officer Ross Hoffman. Read more.

Katy Perry Announces Exclusive Global NFT Collaboration And Investment In Theta Network - Katy Perry has announced the launch of her first range of NFT’s for her fans worldwide.

CGC Announces a Private Signing with Tony Fleecs & Trish Forstner - CGC has announced a Private Signing with Tony Fleecs and Trish Forstner, the team behind Stray Dogs. In addition to signatures, Fleecs and Forstner are offering Remarques based on their work on the Stray Dogs book. For their duo Remarque, they will be sketching your favorite characters from any of their books OR personalized images of fans' pets.

All submissions must be received by CGC no later than Thursday, September 30, 2021, to qualify for this private signing event. No change requests will be accepted after Thursday, September 30, 2021.

After Fleecs and Forstner sign the submitted books, CGC will grade and encapsulate them. Estimated turnaround time is six weeks.  Get more details HERE.

CGC Welcomes Comic Book Artist Andrew Robinson for a Private Signing Event - CGC has announced that they will be teaming up with comic book artist Andrew Robinson for an exclusive Private Signing event.

Andrew Robinson has worked for every major comic publisher and gaming company in the industry and has gained wide recognition for his work on BatmanHawkman, and Star Wars. He has also produced numerous covers for DC titles such as SupermanSecret Six, Faces of Evil, and Vigilante.

CGC Hosts Legendary Pencillier Dan Panosian for a Private Signing Event - CGC  will be hosting acclaimed comic and storybook artist Dan Panosian, who is known for his work on Captain America, Batman, Spider-Man, and Thor.

Panosian was also the lead creative head on a DreamWorks video game about animals that embody the spirit of Kung-Fu, which caught the attention of Steven Spielberg and became the catalyst for the beloved Kung-Fu Panda series.
