Casper & The Spectrals #2Media Release -- Ardden Entertainment is excited to announce today's release of CASPER AND THE SPECTRALS #2, the second installment of a new comic book series based on well-known characters Casper the Friendly Ghost, Wendy the Good Little Witch, and Hot Stuff.

In this critically-acclaimed new series, Casper and friends fight a fearsome threat from the past. There is a city within New York City known as Spooky Town, but most humans are unable to see it. Within this city live the Spectrals, the ghosts, goblins, demons and witches of the world…including Casper, Wendy and Hot Stuff! When an ancient entity known only as the Volbragg threatens both New York and Spooky Town, Casper and his friends are forced to band together and defeat an unimaginable evil!

In issue #2, Casper and Wendy find themselves framed and captured for taunting the Ogres (as seen at the end of issue #1). The impish Hot Stuff - who, incidentally, framed them - finally realizes that he may have gone too far this time! Meanwhile, a human inventor is about to activate his new energy invention, unaware that the results will affect both the human world and the spectral world forever!

CASPER AND THE SPECTRALS #1 was an instant commercial and critical success, with Aint It Cool News calling it the best comic of the week and proclaiming, "Buy Casper and the Spectrals and I guarantee you will enjoy it."

CASPER AND THE SPECTRALS is based on a concept by veteran comic book creator and writer J.M. DeMatteis and Ardden co-founder Brendan Deneen, and is written by Todd Dezago. Issue #2 arrives after an unfortunate delay and features art by Pedro Delgado. Issue #3, which will hit stores in early August, will feature art by Leanne Hannah. Each issue features incredible colors by Kieran Oats.
