Cartoon Art MuseumMedia Release -- The very FIRST meeting of the US/San Francisco chapter of Laydeez do Comics is being sponsored by San Francisco's Cartoon Art Museum on Tuesday, April 10, from 7:00-9:00pm. This event is free and open to both genders.

Trina Robbins, artist, author, and historian, will give a presentation about the history of women cartoonists. Find out about some of history's greatest women cartoonists and their role in comics history. Trina's presentation will be followed by a Q&A, biscuits, and tea!

Laydeez do Comics was originated by Sarah Lightman and Nicola Streeten in London, England. Maureen Burdock is bringing LDC to the United States with the generous support of Heather Plunkett and the Cartoon Art Museum. Monthly meetings, while being inclusive of men, will emphasize the work of women creators!
