Cartoon Art MuseumMedia Release -- The Cartoon Art Museum hosts artist Beth Dean on Saturday, September 28th, 2013 from 2pm to 4pm as a part of their ongoing Cartoon-in-Residence program. Museum visitors will be offered the chance to talk to Beth, view and discuss her work. This event is free and open to the public.

Beth Dean is a designer and illustrator currently living in San Francisco. She operates Black Forest, a publishing house releasing weird comics, psychedelic posters and evil novelty toys like Emergency Sacrifice Kits and Instant Grave Dirt. She has appeared in numerous group shows and comic cons, and will speaking at APE 2013 in San Francisco this October.

Her new book, Beth Dean’s Mama Needs Her Medicine will be released this fall. Her two previous books, Beth Dean is Loose in San Francisco and Beth Dean is Pregnant with Desire, are available locally at Isotope and Mission Comics, as well as from her website’s store, The Horror Mart.
