Media Release -- The Cartoon Art Museum hosts artist Adrian 'Age' Scott on Saturday, September 6 2012 from 1pm to 3pm as part of its ongoing Cartoonist-in-Residence program. Museum visitors will be offered the chance to talk to Scott about cartooning and view his work. Scott will be accompanied by fellow cartoonists Mike Hampton and Brandon Bracamonte. This event is free and open to the public.
Adrian 'Age' Scott is the creator of the first and longest running HipHop comic book, Won and Phil, which he has been writing, drawing and self publishing for 20 years plus. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Scott teaches art in schools and libraries throughout the Bay. He also has a public access television show, "Cartooning With Age,"broadcast by Vallejo City.
Mike Hampton has been self-publishing comics for over 10 years. Mike has written and illustrated popular indie titles such as Captain 'A' and Hot Zombie Chicks, and has jumped into superhero territory with his newest effort, Eagle Eye & The Quail. As a graphic designer and colorist, Hampton lent his digital coloring talents to the latest issue of Brandon Bracamonte's The Mustache Ride. Hampton is a sketch card artist for Topps' 2012 Mars Attacks and Star Wars cards and currently has several comic book projects in development. He resides in Berkeley, CA.
Brandon Bracamonte (aka The Bracamonster) burst onto the Northern California indy comic book scene in 2008 with his debut book Hey! Rube. In 2010, Bracamonte released the underground sensation The Mustache Ride and Kiss of Death (formerly The Homicide Chicks). Bracamonte's unique style of art comes from roughly 15 years of being tattoo artist, with over 50 award winning tattoos. This year, Bracamonte lent his artistic efforts to the Topps' Star Wars: Galactic Files sketch cards, and is currently in development with a project to be released by Image Comics. He proudly resides in Sacramento, CA.

The Cartoon Art Museum regularly hosts professional cartoonist in its galleries as part of its Cartoonist-in-Residence program. Museum patrons see cartoonists at work on their latest projects and learn everything you ever wanted to know about cartoonists–but were afraid to ask. Past featured Cartoonists-in-Residence include Paul Madonna (All Over Coffee), Keith Knight (K Chronicles, (th)ink), Paige Braddock (Jane's World), Michael Jantze (The Norm) and Jimmy Gownley (Amelia Rules) among many others.
