BOOM! Studios' TAG nominated as best horror series of the year by Broken Frontier

Los Angeles, CA: BOOM! Studios' hit horror mini-series, TAG, was nominated for best horror series of the year by Broken Frontier in their third annual Broken Frontier Awards, compiled by the entire BF staff and honoring the cream of the crop in the comics industry during 2006. The award winners will be announced on Thursday, December 28.

"This has been a spectacular year for TAG," Ross Richie, BOOM! Publisher, said. "Keith Giffen is a legendary creator with a distinguished portfolio of work spanning three decades, all credit and kudos go to him, as well as those two massive talented upstarts at his side, Kody Chamberlain and Chee."

This July, BOOM! Studios sold the film rights to TAG to Universal Pictures with Marc Platt Productions attached to produce the film. Just this month, Universal hired screenwriter Carrey (Alone) Malloy to adapt the piece.

The final issue of the three issue mini-series will see release to comic books stores on January 24th. BOOM! continues the horror series in the new year with the release of TAG: CURSED 1 (of 5).
