Boom released a "new series teaser" image, that looks a lot like Samuel L. Jackson.New_Series_Teaser.jpg

Digital Spy spills the beans:

Samuel L. Jackson is to co-write a new science fiction comic titled Cold Space, publisher BOOM! Studios has announced.

The actor will collaborate with Emmy-nominated writer/producer Eric Calderon on the book. Interior art will be provided by Jeremy Rock, and covers by Dave Johnson and Irredeemable illustrator Jeffrey Spokes.

"When an on-the-run outlaw crash-lands on a hostile planet on the brink of civil war, he finds himself caught in the crossfire between two warring factions. But in chaos lies opportunity... because where there's war, there's money to be made," read the publisher's solicitation for the first issue.

BOOM! released a teaser image for the series, revealing that the protagonist has been modelled on Jackson. The star's likeness has previously been used by Marvel Comics when artist Bryan Hitch unveiled his redesigned version of Nick Fury.

Cold Space #1 arrives in stores in April.
