Comic Book Guy The Comic Book #1Media Release -- Matt Groening, creator of "The Simpsons" and "Futurama," has announced that Bongo Comics Group's new website, www.bongocomics.com, will launch on Wednesday, July 21st in time for the beginning of the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con International. www.bongocomics.com will offer regular "Simpsons" and "Futurama" news items and blog updates, as well as announcements of new publishing ventures. A comprehensive history of all Matt Groening's comic-book, trade-book, and calendar publications, including Groening's catalog of books collecting his syndicated strip Life in Hell, will also be featured.

The site will provide daily updates throughout the four-day San Diego Comic-Con with events happening in and around the Bongo Comic Group booth (#2519). The site will provide a dose of "Simpsons," "Futurama," and Life in Hell humor with daily quips, favorite Bongo moments, and sketch-a-day postings, giving fans an inside look at the design process of comic-book publishing from concept to finished art. The site will also provide fans with a comprehensive list of comic stores to find new and old issues throughout the United States.

Matt Groening, publisher of Bongo Comics, has been producing comics and books for 17 years.
