Stephen Mooney takes Bettie Page tomb raiding in BETTIE PAGE: CURSE OF THE BANSHEE.

The press release follows:

Media Release -- The eternally beloved queen of the pinups, Bettie Page's next declassified secret mission sees her poking around Irish ruins in Curse of the Banshee!

Multitalented writer and artist Stephen Mooney (Black Widow,, James Bond) scripts this exciting new escapade and is ably assisted by artist Jethro "Jet" Morales.

Mooney is set to take elements from all of Dynamite's previous Bettie stories as well as set his own path for the icon. His fan-favorite Half Past Danger independent series is beloved for its similar mix of pulpy flirty flavor, witty patter of dialogue, and seat of your pants action beats. While this latest tale pulls inspiration from both comedy and horror, like a well-mixed cocktail of Scooby-Doo and The X-Files.

"I'm delighted to have another crack at the iconic Miss Page and her exhilarating adventures!," said writer Stephen Mooney. "Bettie and her world lend themselves to so many wonderful facets of comic book storytelling and I'm excited to engage with many of them, accompanied by Jethro's incredibly evocative artwork. This time, we're taking her to my home turf! Bettie is someone that 1950s traditional, rural Ireland is not ready for! Throw in an undead Banshee, a slate of grisly murders and an underground, labyrinthian crypt and we have ourselves a party!"

Bettie and her new companion Professor Dakota Smith, an unconventional expert of archaeology, came up short in the jungles of South America in search of the Key Artifact. Clues point them to the heart or rural Ireland and an ancient crypt.

With perils, curses, and maybe a literal banshee - the vengeful spirit of Irish mythology - Bettie must overcome her most harrowing adventure yet!

A legend like Bettie Page known for her timeless beauty and charm mandates covers from the top names in pinup art today. It's a good thing that the writer of this series also happens to be one of those too! Mooney's cover is joined by Marat Mychaels and Joseph Michael Linsner. Cosplay star Ani-Mia does her best impression of the dark angel. While of course no Bettie Page comic is complete without the option of photo covers, nice or naughty!
