Get your comics pressed. Easier said than done, right?  That's why I'm here.  I continue to get recommendations after posting my past articles on this topic.  I only feel it's right to showcase additional people who press and clean comics regularly because their work is fantastic.  Word of mouth is everything!  Here are some comic pressers you may want to look for.

Greetings comic book collectors and hobbyists.  With the recent backlog with CGC pressing, it is probably a good idea to have someone in your back pocket who can press comic books.  Having options is always vital. Turnaround time and pricing tiers are probably the top two factors collectors consider when choosing an independent presser.  For the most part, turnaround time and pricing are indeed reduced when going to an independent presser compared to the behemoth pressing companies out there.  You just have to find a good one.

This article is Part III of Best Pressers in the Industry, where I highlight professionals who are master craftsmen and are good at what they do.  They will take a comic book with existing wrinkles, folds, creases, waviness, non-color breaking ticks, or damage that makes the comic book no longer flat and basically makes it lay flat again.  Our new best friends, right?  This article will highlight some additional players in the game and let you know what you can expect from each presser regarding pricing and turn-around-time (TAT) if provided.  At the end of the day, you have to decide where to send your books to, but this will help show you what else is out there!

Strictly Comix

If you are looking for a presser in the Texas area, look no further than Strictly Comix. I believe Strictly Comix is located in the Houston area; if not, then definitely close by.  A very professional Facebook page where his direct contact information is provided to answer all your pressing needs.  Also, has a very active YouTube channel where he hosts weekly "affordable" auctions and CGC/CBCS unboxing videos.  You can tell he has a passion for the hobby as his About section states:

"I've found that pressing and cleaning comics brings a joy to my heart."

Click on the link above for their Facebook page, or he can be emailed for more information at strictlycomix@gmail.com.

Titan Comic Pressing

I did not find an actual website on Titan Comic Pressing, but I found the Facebook page, and it served the same purpose. The FB page provided many before and after pics, contact information, and, most importantly, pricing.  Titan Comic Pressing is also very active on YouTube.  He posts on occasions comic book pressing videos and comic book hauls, which can be very informative for any collector.  Click on the link above for their Facebook page or send an email to titancomicpressing@gmail.com for more information.

X-Press Comic Book Pressing Service aka Erod212

If you are looking for someone in the NYC area, I found your man.   X-Press Comic Book Pressing Service, also known as Erod212, can take care of your comic book cleaning and pressing needs.  I did not find a website or a dedicated Facebook page, but I know he is very active on Instagram, and you can see many of his before and after pics there.  I did not see a pricing sheet, but on his Xpresscbp Instagram page, there is a Request Form where you can submit your comics and what you want to be done to them, cleaning and pressing, and you will be invoiced soon after.  This is another presser who is active on YouTube, where you can see many of his haul videos and CGC/CBCS submissions.

Click on the link above for the Instagram page.  He can also be emailed for more information at xpresscbp@yahoo.com

Wrap-up

There you have it!  Many thanks to the GoCollect community; here are some more comic book cleaners and pressers to add to your network.  Again, only a tiny snapshot as there are so many independent comic book pressers out there now.  It seems like everybody is diving into the pressing game.  Check out their Facebook or Instagram pages, look at their before and after pictures, exchange emails, if needed, to get that warm and fuzzy, and then pick one you are comfortable with and go for it. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised.  The turnaround time and price per comic book can vary from presser to presser. Also worth noting, each presser mentioned in this article can submit to CGC or CBCS for you.  That is always a good thing and can save you money.  Good luck; I hope your pressing and cleaning needs are satisfied and your comic grading goals are reached.  This is a fun hobby, let's do our best to enjoy it and preserve our collectibles!  Until next time, you comic book junkies...

Please share your thoughts and comments you have about Comic Book Pressing!  Have you used any of these Comic Pressers before?  Who else do you recommend in the Comic Pressing Industry?  Do you press your comic books for submission to CGC and grading or just for safekeeping in your collection?  Please share your experience with pressing and let us know who your favorite pressers are out there.
