FIRST COMIC BOOK CONVENTION COMES TO BELLINGHAM, WASH.
Bellingham's first comic book convention on Saturday, October 13th from 10am to 4pm at the Majestic.

We are Bringing some of the top comic book talent to Bellingham such as Mike Grell ( DC COMICS), Brandon Jerwa (GI JOE, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA), Tom Peyer (STAR WARS), Rantz (JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS). As well as local talent such as Michel Gange (ZED), Carnell (FANGORIA MAGAZINE), Darren G. Davis (10th MUSE, LEGEND OF ISIS). We will also have various publishers who will be attending as well as tons of retailers from around Washington and Portland. Local Retailers include Cosmic Comics and A Comic Place and many more. There will a raffle and free stuff at the door from Dark Horse Comics, DC Comics, Sony Entertainment, Diamond Distributors

"Our main focus is to make this a lot of fun for people of all ages," says Darren Davis - convention promoter. "I've always believed in giving back to the community. With our annual comic book camp and now with this convention we hope to continue that tradition. The kids from Comic Camp will be premiering and signing their comic at this event. Proceeds for comic will be going to the WhAAM organization in Bellingham".

The planned events for the convention to date are: WizKids will be hosting a HeroClix tournament with prizes available, a costume contest sponsored by the SUPERMAN HOMEPAGE, a special screening of legendary filmmaker Ray Harryhausen's "The Pit and the Pendulum" as well as featured Entertainment for all ages.
