November 14, 2007, Runnemede, NJ - DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT today released images and information announcing the next issue of the revolutionary new Sci-Fi comic book series Battlestar Galactica: Origins. Following in the tradition of Dynamite's powerful BSG: Zarek series, the new Origins comic book series will reveal the early years of the hit Sci-Fi show's most popular, and sometimes mysterious, characters and events, acting as canon with the tv series.

Dynamite's Origins continues its launch with a story arc by BSG staff writer Kevin Fahey, a key writer of the award winning Sci-Fi Channel series Battlestar Galactica, and art by Jonathan Lau, whose detailed pencil work has graced the covers of various Dynamite titles (Battlestar Galactica and Xena). Battlestar Galactica: Origins #3 is scheduled for a January release and will be available with a cover by Dynamite fan-favorite artist Fabio Laguna, as well a photo cover from the re-imagined, Emmy-Award nominated show!

The first story arc of the Battlestar Galactica: Origins comic book series focuses on the early years of Gaius Baltar and his life and loves (including the lovely Six) that lead up to the second Cylon War. Fans of both Sci-Fi's re-imagined Battlestar Galactica television series and Dynamite's New Battlestar Galactica comic books series know Gaius Baltar as the brilliant computer scientist who unintentionally brought about the near-annihilation of the human species. Of course, where Gaius Baltar is found, that sexy cylon known as Six is sure to be close at hand, haunting and influencing his fear of discovery… all the while the heading towards the apocalypse.

In issue #3, events continue to spiral beyond the good doctor's control as the Cylons move their ultimate plan to deadly action!
