Image Firsts Saga #1 (Current Printing)Media Release -- On Saturday, September 7, the winners of the 26th annual Harvey Awards were announced at the Baltimore Comic Con. Chief among the standouts was Image's Saga - who won awards for Best Colorer, Best New Series, Best Continuing Series, Best Writer, Best Artist, and Best Single Issue for Saga #1.

KaBoom!'s Adventure Time took home two Harvey Awards for Best Original Graphic Publication for Younger Readers and writer Ryan North received a Special Award for Humor in Comics for the title.

Dark Horse Comics was well represented in the awards, with Dark Horse Presents earning Best Anthology and Blacksad: A Silent Hell nabbing American Edition of Foreign Material. The award for Online Comics Work went to Mike Norton for his web comic Battlepug, which is collected in print by Dark Horse.

Two of IDW Publishing's titles were given top honors, with the award for Best Graphic Album, Original going to Darwyn Cooke's Richard Stark's Parker: The Score and David Mazzuchelli's Daredevil: Born Again Artists Edition named Best Domestic Reprint Project.

Love and Rockets: New Stories from Fantagraphics Books earned creator Jaime Hernandez the Best Cartoonist award.
