Sixth Gun TPB Vol. 01Media Release -- Graphic novels are a combination of literature and art, so why shouldn't a graphic novel event be the same? Challengers Comics + Conversation presents THE SIXTH GUN weekend: a Friday evening opening with artist Brian Hurtt and writer Cullen Bunn, then a noon signing on Saturday with both creators.

Published by Oni Press (Scott Pilgrim, Stumptown) THE SIXTH GUN is a supernatural western that references the Civil War. During that time, wicked cutthroats came into possession of six pistols of otherworldly power. In time, the Sixth Gun, the most dangerous of the weapons, vanished. When the gun surfaces in the hands of an innocent girl, dark forces reawaken. Vile men thought long dead set their sights on retrieving the gun and killing the girl. Only Drake Sinclair, a gunfighter with a shadowy past, stands in their way.

Just as THE SIXTH GUN crosses genres, this unique event crosses mediums, and celebrates not just the art or the writing, but the comic as a whole.
