The Falcon & The Winter Soldier did not disappoint. The first ten minutes of the first episode put to rest any concerns that fans may have had about the production quality of Disney+ shows. It looked like a movie and not something we'd see on the CW.

Like WandaVision, The Falcon & The Winter Soldier also contained a lot of easter eggs (or red herrings) about future characters that could appear in future episodes. Of course, speculation about Mephisto, Grim Reaper, and other characters during WandaVision generally went unchecked, leading to likely unsustainable price hikes for comics like Silver Surfer #3. Although some YouTubers and bloggers like myself should feel gun shy about making grand predictions, the predictions have begun again.

Will Power Broker Join the MCU?

During the credit sequence, we saw several hints about which characters may appear in future episodes. One image in the credits states "POWER BROKER IS WATCHING." In the comics, Power Broker is also known as Curtiss Jackson, the founder of the Power Broker Corporation. Working with Dr. Karl Malus, the two develop their own kind of super-soldier serum which they sell to customers. Many of the customers who receive services from Power Broker, however, end up dying.

It's possible that Power Broker may have provided the Flag Smashers with their super strength. Of course, just as Marvel did with the Mephisto easter eggs in WandaVision, this could be a red herring.

Fortunately, even if Power Broker doesn't appear, purchasing his first appearance in Machine Man #7 presents little risk. As of March 21st, you could still purchase raw, high-grade copies of this book on eBay for around $15. (Because CGC has only graded 22 copies of Machine Man #7, you have little choice but to purchase it raw). Investing at $15 per share of Machine Man #7 presents little risk, especially in comparison to investing hundreds or thousands of dollars in Silver Surfer #3.

Isaiah Bradley

A few weeks ago, I blogged about how investors may want to consider purchasing Truth: Red, White, and Black. I wrote this because many speculated that Isaiah Bradley, the first Black Captain America, would appear in the series.

Although Bradley doesn't appear in episode one, an Easter egg appears during the credits that could be related to him. Specifically, we see a document related to experimental "Subject #07656." While the document doesn't reveal the name of Subject #07656, we do see part of his face. It's the face of actor Carl Lumbly. While this doesn't confirm that Bradley will appear, we can draw an inference that the government has subjected Lumbly's character to experimentation.

Like Power Broker, even if Bradley doesn't appear, purchasing his first appearance presents little risk. As of March 21st, you could still purchase raw, high-grade copies of Truth: Red, White, and Black #1 on eBay for around $50. Raw, NM copies sold for about $35 a few weeks ago, but $50 is still affordable.
