ARCHIE DIGEST #257Media Release -- Longtime followers of Archie and his friends know that comics' most famous teens have always been at the forefront of the latest fads and fashions – just thumb through any ARCHIE AMERICANA SERIES edition to see how they've embraced each decade! They've also embraced a love of nostalgia and pop culture, and this September these factors combine for some colorful and exciting tales!

It all starts in ARCHIE DIGEST #257, with the story "The Archies in London." This song-ful sequel to "The Archies in New York" (from last month's ARCHIE & FRIENDS #134) finds Riverdale's famous rock band on a jaunt across the pond to follow in the footsteps of their idols, The BeatBoys! Along the way, they encounter all the sites befitting rock royalty, including Abbey Road Studios, Carnaby Street, the Dorchester Hotel and more. They also partake in British pop culture, including riding on a double-decker bus, visiting a vintage UK fashion boutique, and dancing away at an authentic '60s discotheque! Betty and Veronica even become chic fashion models and the group gets to perform live on the BBC! It's a "Hard Déjà vu's Night" for bubblegum's premiere popsters! It's all brought to you by no less a pop music authority than Hal Lifson, author of the swingin' sixties coffee table tome, "Hal Lifson's 1966!"

Then, in JUGHEAD'S DOUBLE DIGEST #154, popular cinema gets a nod… and a paw… in the tale, "Movie Madness." Picking up where the story "The Screen Test" from JUGHEAD & FRIENDS DIGEST #33 left off, Veronica's dog Mitzy and Jughead's dog Hot Dog head to Hollywood in hopes of achieving doggy stardom. But can the canine cut-ups cut it with the big dogs?
