1:00-2:00pm Archaia Entertainment Presents: IMMORTALS, the Graphic Novel— Before you watch Relativity Media's epic 3D film Immortals when it opens on November 11, dive into Archaia's prelude graphic novel, Immortals: Gods and Heroes, coming in September! Featuring original tales that expand upon the movie's characters and written and illustrated by some of the top names in comics, Immortals: Gods and Heroes promises to prepare you for the visionary film directed by Tarsem Singh (The Cell, The Fall) and starring Henry Cavill (Superman: Man of Steel), Luke Evans (Robin Hood) and Kellan Lutz (Twilight). Join Editor Nate Cosby (Jim Henson's The Storyteller) and contributors Dennis Calero (X-Factor), F.J. At Comic-Con International in San Diego, Zachary Quinto, Before the Door and Archaia Entertainment are supporting Zachary Levi's ("Chuck") Nerd HQ "Conversations for a Cause" to benefit Operation Smile, a foundation dedicated to helping children born with cleft palates. For a minimum donation of $20, join Zachary Quinto (Margin Call, Star Trek) and his Before the Door partners Neal Dodson and Corey Moosa for a spirited discussion about their two, new graphic novels published by Archaia: Mr. Murder Is Dead, a "who didn't do it" mystery set in the fading world of Golden Age comic strips, with writer Victor Quinaz (Chinese Dream) and artist Brent Schoonover (Astronaut Dad); and Lucid, about a combat mage assigned to protect the nation from evil forces, with writer Michael McMillian (True Blood). Join Archaia and The Jim Henson Company as they explore his early works and creative process, complete with archival, rarely seen footage, brought to you by Henson archivist, Karen Falk. Then, get an advance look at A TALE OF SAND, the new original graphic novel coming this fall, based on a never-before-seen screenplay written by Jim Henson and his longtime collaborator, Jerry Juhl.
