"It's a stellar sci-fi horror comic in its own right, and it's a hell of an Aliens one, too. I'm excited for where Hendricks and Davis are headed even if they have no right to be."–Comics: The Gathering

"This is how to celebrate a 30th anniversary. This is beautifully frightening: a love letter to fans that will make their chests explode in joy. Recommended."–SciFiPulse

"Wood and Jones have crafted an impressively strong opening chapter for this latest Dark Horse Aliens series...the strength of the lead character and the crisp, confident execution of both the storyline and the artwork make this an absolutely essential purchase for fans of the franchise, or simply for fans of science-fiction horror in general. Bring on issue two! Oorah!" –Big Comic Page
