PREVIEWS Front CoverMedia Release -- In the spirit of giving associated with the holidays, fan-favorite creators Matthew Sturges and Freddie Williams II give the DC Universe and comic readers a whole new Justice Society of America team this December with the release of JSA ALL-STARS #1, which befittingly takes the front cover of the October issue of PREVIEWS.

Following up on events from Justice Society of America, Magog, Power Girl, Hourman, Stargirl, Damage, Citizen Steel, and others have broken away from the original Justice Society to form their own team. Longtime Justice Society of America followers that are fans of some or all of these characters will want to pick up the new series to check out who these heroes will be facing and how their goals and tactics differ from those of the original Society.

Also solicited in October is IDW Publishing's ANGEL: AFTER THE FALL #28, the noteworthy issue that sees Fables writer Bill Willingham pick up the reins of the title created by Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Joss Whedon. Willingham is joined by artist Brian Dunham to start the new "Crown Prince Syndrome" storyline with this issue.

Plus, don't miss these October PREVIEWS editorial features:

FLIPside Featured Theme:"PREVIEWS' Halloween Comic Cover Spooktacular" – They might not be part of trick-or-treating, but Halloween comics have become a tradition of the season just the same, and readers will find a cover gallery highlighting some favorites in the October catalog.

IndieEdge: Tim Bradstreet – This month's creator feature spotlights Tim Bradstreet, a primarily self-taught illustrator that has contributed to a variety of series from both independent and premier comic publishers.
