July PREVIEWS Front CoverThe front cover of the July issue of PREVIEWS, the comic shop’s catalog, spotlights Image Comics’ Fallout: Toyworks #1, the start of a mini-series conceived by Fall Out Boy band member Pete Wentz and designer Darren Romanelli.

Written by Brett Lewis and illustrated by Sam Basri and inspired by Fall Out Boy’s “Tiffany Blews,” Toyworks tells the story a young toymaker that puts his entire company in jeopardy to support of a new android, Tiffany. But when the android starts displaying some malfunctions, fixing her becomes his sole goal and obsession.

July PREVIEWS Back CoverThe back cover for this month’s catalog goes to Beasts of Burden #1, the start of a five-part series about a special group of four-legged neighbors from Burden Hill that must join together to save the community’s residents from harm.

Creators Evan Dorkin and Jill Thompson first introduced these characters in the anthologies The Dark Horse Book of Hauntings, Book of Witchcraft, Book of the Dead, and Book of Monsters, for which they won coveted Eisner Awards for Best Short Story and Best Painter. Now readers have a new opportunity to follow the adventure of these heroic cats and dogs.
