Punisher is a supreme anti-hero, perhaps one of the best created. This book is part of the five-part limited series, and the first Punisher series period. Issue number three says "four-issue series" but they went to a fifth book anyway. They took it a full five issues, a bit of trivia for you comic trivia buffs.  The Punisher limited series was created by the one and only Mike Zeck, and his Punisher covers stand the test of time. They have an interesting process of being drawn by Zeck and painted by Phil Zimmelman in an interesting and never before seen way. These books were off the hook. Steven Grant (script) had some great writing for this story. Even today thirty-two years later this limited series still has the kickback of an M-60. Punisher is not to be ignored especially the jail scene which probably inspired the Netflix series. These Punisher books are pure profit over time; is it time to lock and load one into your collection?

Punisher #3 (the limited series)

The cover alone really kicks with bullet holes on a target and Punisher leering with menace. Punisher #3 (limited series) even though it is far down the list of keys all the five books (not four like number three states, but five) is still a comic book worth owning.  Mike Zeck's cover comics will always have value. Currently, Punisher #3 (limited series) has great value with mint (9.8) going for $140 FMV, and (8.5) is going for $23 FMV. The (9.8) mint has a huge return with positive +85.9%, and even (7.5) for positive +56.8%.  Considering you can still buy these books for $20 or even less in some stores. This is a very inexpensive entry point as these books are classics and have got great returns ever since the Netflix series got started. Lock and load it is time to "get some" yep, get some of the Punisher Limited Series.

Punisher #5 (limited series)

In addition, to the rest of the series, another cheap pick up is the #5 in this limited series. The Punisher #5 (limited series) has a mint condition at (9.8) for $190 FMV even more costly than number three above! The (7.0) comes in at a real cost of $19 on eBay as of June 2018. Again the cheap entry point for these books is really encouraging, Anyone purchasing these books is doing the right thing. Now back in the day, many copies were printed but this book will continue to rise, just like smoke from the gun barrels of Punisher's AR-15. Does this book have the same great return as number three? That same (7.0) has seen a shocking positive +232.2% return on investment. Additionally, most of the lower grades have shot up in price, why? Well, now people are still trying to get in cheap while they can. After the lower grades go watch all prices rise. In addition, (8.5) has a positive return of +114.5% not bad for the fifth book in a limited series.

This is a striking cover honestly, but also an interesting trivia tidbit. Bottom line, this anti-hero is here to stay and will probably have at least three more seasons maybe more. Not to mention when they start sticking him in with superheroes and supervillains some of the outcomes there will be outrageously fun. Whether you buy number three with a +85.9% ROI or number five with positive +232.2% return you really can't go wrong. Hit your target with this next purchase of The Punisher (Limited Series #1-5) before you run out of ammo!
